Anniversary in Meltewitz – Strong field of participants at MelzExdrähm on Sunday – Registration still possible until Thursday

The long late-summer break is finally over. On Sunday (September 22), the penultimate championship race of the DOWATEK HardEnduroSeries Germany 2024 will kick off in Meltewitz. This also marks an anniversary, as the MelzExdrähm will be held for the fifteenth time.

Quality over quantity at the anniversary

The sixth race of the season also promises to be exciting. Almost all of the top riders of this season will be at the starting line, which once again creates great anticipation. Back in the strong field are Lenny Geretzky and Charlie Frost. Geretzky aims to repeat his success from last year and claim his fourth career victory. Frost took a break from several races due to scheduling conflicts. Now, after being pushed back in the starting grid in Crimmitschau, he wants to attack from the front. After all, in the second race of the season, he managed to climb from the last row to third place among the pro riders.

In Meltewitz, the first championship decisions could be made. Both Leon Hentschel (Pro) and Henry Strauss (Junior) have the chance to secure their class titles early. Rene Jerbach also has a shot, as his closest competitor Andreas Pieper will be competing in the ÖEC.

The championship title will remain undecided until the finale, as Henry Strauss and Leon Hentschel are separated by only one point.

After a long injury break, Markus Ludwig will also make his first appearance. He sustained an arm injury a week before the start of the season and has missed the entire season so far.

The track is set for an exciting race day

The SHC Meltewitz will once again design a challenging track. With the best weather expected, the riders can look forward to 3 hours of hard enduro. The day kicks off at 10 a.m. with the ACE Bikes Prologue Award, which will determine the starting positions for the main race at 12 p.m. Four riders will be sent off per minute. However, the clock only starts ticking once the riders begin. From that moment, each participant has 3 hours to complete the designated number of laps. A checkpoint will be integrated into the lap where an intermediate ranking can be taken.
