Rocky Course: Gefrees Welcomes the DOWATEK HardEnduroSeries Germany on August 3rd.

The race in Gefrees has now become a cult event. In its third year, the Granit Scramble (August 3rd) will once again demand everything from the participants of the HESG. This year, the unique format with the ACE Bikes Prolog Award will be used again, featuring a more fluid layout, along with a 4-hour race with checkpoints.

"Initially, together with the club, we considered holding group races and a final, similar to the other HESG events. However, we discarded these plans because the participants all travel to Gefrees to experience the unique track in Germany. Therefore, we are sticking to the previous format with the long race and lap requirements," explained Denis Günther.

There will be a new feature, however. On the lap, which must be completed five times and will take the leaders about 40 minutes per lap, there are three particularly difficult sections. Those who do not feel up to these challenges can bypass them and will receive a time penalty added to their final time. This should ensure fair conditions for everyone, allowing each participant to decide based on their skill level what they can handle and what they cannot. The rest of the lap will be similar to last year, with many ascents and descents, few artificial obstacles, and 100 percent off-road terrain.

Luminus Energy HESG Kids with Their Own Races

After the ACE Bikes Prolog Award, the morning will be dedicated to the HESG Kids. As usual, the 50-65 cc kids will race in two 15-minute heats. The 85cc riders, with favorite Linus Albert, will also have their own 30-minute race on the Prolog track in Gefrees. Race Party in the Evening

The MSC Gefrees-Fichtelgebirge e.V. invites all riders and fans to the Race Party after the awards ceremony. This year, it will be held in the Start-Finish area. A DJ will provide the musical entertainment, and drinks will also be available.
